We are looking to recruit a qualified Early Years Practitioner who shares our ethos and values and who can be an experienced and proactive member of the staff team and provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential within accordance to the EYFS.
The role of early years practitioner at Pixies would require you to effectively assist in the day to day running of the setting; being an effective key person; being proactive in the process of activity planning, observation and development records; being a positive role model who enjoys ting learning outdoors. The role will also require you to be a strong communicator, to ensure that communication with children, parents and colleagues is polite and courteous at all times and to maintain confidentiality. The role requires you to have an in-depth knowledge of the statutory frame work EYFS and to work in accordance with the setting’s Safeguarding Children policies and procedures and to ensure others are delivering the best of practice in this area. The purpose of Pixies’ Safeguarding policy is to provide a secure framework for the staff team and volunteers in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children who attend our setting. Other elements of provision and policies are in place to enable children to feel safe and to adopt safe practices; Staff, children, visitors, volunteers and parents are aware of the expected behaviours’ (as set out in the Pixies Behaviour Management Policy) and the settings legal responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children.
